This is a window into the projects that are shaping Kackaamin's future: the spaces, programs, and infrastructure that will deepen what we're able to offer the families who come here. Some are underway. Some are still taking shape. All of them matter.

The Family Healing House
For years, Kackaamin has needed a dedicated ceremonial and gathering space, a place where culture can be practised at full scale, where families can come together for ceremony, and where the land-based and spiritual dimensions of healing have a proper home.
The Family Healing House will be that place.
The building will include a ceremonial longhouse-style gathering space, a commercial kitchen for communal meals and cultural food practices, and alternative healing offices for practitioners working alongside the clinical team. This space will not just be an addition to what Kackaamin does but a physical expression of what we have always believed: that culture is medicine, and medicine deserves a proper home.
Fundraising is underway. A gala was held in September 2023 to launch the campaign. Construction will begin when funding allows.
